I live in Pennsylvania, a Commonwealth, yet when I tried to email Rep Thompson I received the following automated response, Outside of District and was unable to submit my comment. This is a problem with our alleged democracy.
Thank you for your work on this issue! I was able to speak to a staffer in the office of one of my Senators (Merkley, D-Oregon).
One small quibble: I’m not sure that Glenn Greenwald would be best described as a conservative. I raise this to say that if we’re going to highlight the way animal welfare issues cut across ideological lines, it’s better to be as accurate as possible about where people fall on the spectrum.
I just called and left messages for both of my senators! This piece motivated me to do so. I've been told it's a good idea to call our senators daily Monday through Friday about our opposition to the SOB Act.
I'm disgusted by the Greed Class that's allowed to destroy so much of what was ever good in our country. The last time I read about this I made phone calls. Thank you for all your hard work to get this out to us again.
